Marj was married to Richard Ferguson for 60 wonderful years, and together they raised two children, John and Joanne. Her proudest accomplishments were her family and her cherished grandchildren, Richard, Bonnie, Hugh, and Allie, who were the lights of her life.

A talented administrative assistant, Marj served in various capacities for the army, banks, and Customs Canada, but her true passion lay in her hobbies. She found joy in gardening, painting, and refinishing furniture, spending countless hours in her beloved back garden, which was her favorite place in the world. Marj had a great sense of humor and loved sharing stories and memories of family trips during good visits with loved ones.

Her Slovak cooking was a family favorite, and she often welcomed guests with warmth and delicious meals. Marj was a strong believer in her church and volunteered for various charities, reflecting her gentle nature and commitment to helping others. She touched the lives of many with her kindness and compassion, making her a beloved figure in her community.
