Mario L Woods, lovingly known as Rio, Lite, and Julio, passed away on July 27, 2024, in Norfolk, VA, at the age of 49. He was born on April 18, 1975, in Norfolk, VA, to his mother Karyl Woods.

Mario was a strong and compassionate individual, who always took the lead in any situation. He had a deep love for his family and dedicated his life to ensuring their well-being. Mario's proudest accomplishment was simply taking care of his family, and he lived by the motto, "We are gonna make it happen no matter what."

An avid player of pool and pickleball, Mario enjoyed spending his free time engaging in these activities. However, his true joy came from looking out for his elders and making sure they were taken care of.

Mario leaves behind a lasting impact on the lives of those he touched. Survived by his brother, Antwan Woods Sr, Mario's legacy will live on through his seven children: Mario, Tashwan, Marlissa, Kemani, Taliq, Tamia, and Jayda.

In the hearts of his loved ones, Mario will always be remembered as a pillar of strength, a leader, and someone who faced challenges head-on. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
