Marie DeFlece, born on May 3, 1952, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2024, in Orillia, Ontario, after spending the last 25 years in the dream home she built in Coldwater with her husband and best friend, Len. Marie was a passionate antique dealer, known for her eye for finding unique treasures at garage sales and auctions.

Marie was a loving wife to Len and a proud mother to her two sons, Dave (Cindy) and Adam (Anita). She found immense joy in her role as a grandmother to Michaela, Max, Brody, and Hailey, cherishing every moment spent with her family. Her marriage and her family were her proudest accomplishments, and she was often heard bravely saying, "What's the worst that can happen?" as a reminder to approach life with positivity and courage.

A supportive and loving person, Marie took joy in life’s simple pleasures and enjoyed spending time playing games with her loved ones. She was actively involved in her community, contributing her time and efforts to organizations such as Victim Services and the Food Bank.

Marie is survived by her husband, Len, her sons, and her grandchildren. She also leaves behind her brother Len (Cathy) and fond memories of her sister Joan (Andrew), who predeceased her two years ago. She will be missed by her brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Marie will be remembered for her warm spirit, unwavering support, and the love she shared with everyone around her.
