Marian Phillips Walters' life began October 5, 1962 in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born to Wanda Joyce and Robert Phillips Senior.

Marian was callled many names in her life time. From Muryan to Mae Mae; from Mae Mae to Mama; from Mama to Gigi.

To many, she was friend, sister, and daughter.

As a Fort Worth native, Marian, the songbird, tweeted her way through the halls of Eastland Elementary, then to Forest Oak Middle School, and finally landed as an old mightly chapperal at Oscar Dean Wyatt High School. Texas never clipped her wings as she continued her education in the state Washington recieving her Bachelor's at Evergreen College and then a Master's in social work from University of Washington.

Anya Phillips (Corey) Thomas, Jac'Lon Enea Miller, LaQuinta (Gartrell) Cooper, Karimen Rogers-Walter; A beloved mother, Wanda (Clarence) Miles; four siblings: Joyce Ann Goynes, Cynthia Phillips, Robert (Delya) Phillips Jr., and Jackie Phillips; six grandchildren: Laila Marie Thomas, Oscea Miley Allen, Ethan Day Thomas, Dakota Jai Cooper, Dawson Jace Cooper; and two Godchildren: Robert (son) and Diama (daughter) Baker; and godgrandchildren: Torrence, O'Landa, and Zharia Baker; and greatgrand god children: O' Landa Baker Jr., O'Jore Baker, Consuela Martin.
