Maria Victoria Flores, known affectionately as Vickie, passed away on December 30, 2024, at the age of 74. Born on August 3, 1950, in the Bronx, NY, she most recently resided in Newport News, VA.

Vickie had a deep love for gardening, finding joy in planting and nurturing her plants. Her culinary skills were unmatched, particularly when it came to her beloved rice and beans, pernil, fried eggplant, and her fluffy, amazing pancakes that delighted family and friends alike. Music filled her life, with a particular fondness for Latin tunes, though she enjoyed a wide variety of genres.

Those who knew Vickie recognized her tough exterior, but beneath it lay a heart of gold. She was fiercely devoted to her family, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer support. Her proudest accomplishments were her children, JoeJoe and Libby, and her cherished grandchildren, Shon, Cierra, Cianna, Amina, and Liana, who brought immense joy to her life.

Vickie found entertainment in shows like Chicago PD, Blue Bloods, and Yellowstone, often sharing her thoughts with her classic sayings, "A penny for your thoughts" and "Lay your cards on the table." Her legacy is one of love, resilience, and a commitment to family that will be remembered always.
