Maria Teresa Garcia, fondly known as Tere, passed away on July 23, 2024, at the age of 70. She was born on October 22, 1953, in San Diego, CA, and most recently resided in Wichita, KS. Maria was a retired Home Health Nurse, dedicating her life to caring for others.
Maria had a vibrant personality and was known for her infectious smile. She had a knack for making strangers feel at ease and always had a kind word to share. Maria found joy in the simple things in life, such as knitting and crafts, which she enjoyed in her free time.
One of Maria's greatest loves was her grandchildren. She cherished every moment spent with them, and her grandsons, Ryker and Lincoln, brought immense joy to her life. Maria doted on them and was proud of her daughter, Lydia, who lovingly carried on her mother's legacy.
In her leisure time, Maria loved indulging in her favorite spicy foods and watching Telenovelas, which entertained her immensely. She was an avid soccer fan and enjoyed cheering for her favorite teams.
Maria's greatest accomplishment and source of pride were her daughter and grandsons. She was immensely proud of Lydia and adored her grandsons, Ryker and Lincoln, who brought so much happiness to her life.
Maria is survived by her daughter in law, Barbara (Wawa), as well as her three brothers, Mario and his spouse Massimo, Martin and his wife Dora, Raymundo, and two sisters, Monica and Estela, and her husband Jesus.
Maria Teresa Garcia will be remembered for her warm heart, infectious smile, and the joy she brought to the lives of those around her. Her legacy will live on in the memories of her loved ones. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. In the words she lived by, "Never grow up."
