She just loved to go with us anywhere new.
Maria Janae Pollock, beloved daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on July 20, 2024, at the age of 17. She was born on January 20, 2007, in Savannah, GA, and had most recently resided in her hometown.
Maria was a vibrant and enthusiastic individual who embraced life with an infectious energy. As a student at Beach High School, she was known for her dedication to her studies and her commitment to achieving her goals. Maria's passion for dance was a central part of her life, and she found joy in expressing herself through movement. Her talent and love for the art form led her to become a cheerleader, where she brought spirit and inspiration to her team.
Family held a special place in Maria's heart, and she cherished the time spent with her loved ones. Her family was her rock, and she found comfort and support in their presence. Maria's deep connection with her family was a testament to her loving and caring nature.
Maria had a zest for life and was always eager to explore new experiences. She enjoyed trying different types of cuisine and often declared that "anything good" was her favorite food. Her adventurous spirit led her to appreciate traveling and discovering new places. Whether it was a local escape or a far-flung destination, Maria loved nothing more than going on exciting adventures with her loved ones.
Creating meaningful content and nurturing her spiritual journey were both passions that Maria held close to her heart. She found solace and purpose in sharing her thoughts and experiences, using various mediums to connect with others and inspire them. Maria believed in the power of introspection and personal growth, and she constantly sought ways to deepen her understanding of herself and the world around her.
Maria's love for dance was a bond that extended beyond her own passion. She shared a special connection with her late cousin Alexis, who also had a passion for dance. Their shared love for this art form created a beautiful bond and lasting memories that Maria held dear.
Maria Janae Pollock leaves behind a legacy of love, joy, and resilience. Her spirit will be remembered by those fortunate enough to have known her, and her memory will forever be cherished by her family and friends. She leaves behind to cherish her memories her mother Tonya R. Pollock. Two brothers, James T. leach & Maurice Pollock Jr, both of Savannah, Ga. Maternal Nana, Elizabeth Leach & paternal grandma Audrey Fields. Her are uncles, Gregory Brown(Karen), James Leach Jr.(Monique), Adrian Smith of Savannah, GA & Norman Leach of Connecticut. Aunts are Gail Mickle (Cindy) of Columbia, SC, Lakesha Leach-Cooper (Isaac), Stefini Jones(Christopher), Tanisha Lawton, Kimberly DeVoe (Lamar) all of Savannah, Ga & Sylathia Pollock of Atlanta, Ga. Tooooo many cousins to name but they loved her so much, other friends & family members.
