Maria Domenica Christiano, beloved mother, grandmother, daughter,sister, and friend, passed away on June 30, 2024, in her hometown of Scranton, PA. She was born on October 24, 1970, to Josephine Cohrs (Cardone) and Anthony Christiano.

Maria lived her entire life in Scranton and attended the local public schools. She was a kind-hearted person who would go out of her way to help anyone in need. Her love for her family and friends was immeasurable, and she cherished the time spent with her children and grandchildren. Maria leaves behind her children, Dane Christiano, Shayla McMillan, Shania McMillan, and Scott Christiano, grandchildren NyNy,Angelo, Sariah and Melody many Aunt's,Uncles,Nieces, nephews and cousins who will forever cherish the memories they created together.

Maria had a passion for music and enjoyed listening to bands like Meatloaf, Tom Petty, and Heart. She also had a love for movies, with Grease and Mommy Dearest being among her favorites. Maria's favorite companion was her partner, Mark Rupp, with whom she shared almost 25 years of love and companionship.

In addition to her children and partner, Maria is survived by her mother, Josephine Cohrs; father, Anthony Christiano; sister, Dawn Cardone; brother, Scott Christiano, and his wife, Heather Christiano; sister, Robyn Frederick; and brother, Ralph Frederick. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ralph and Emma Cardone, her niece, Brianna Pierce, and her Uncle Keith Cardone.

Maria's vibrant personality, fearlessness, and unwavering trust in God and the Bible made her truly one of a kind. Her passing has left a hole in the hearts of all who knew her. Maria will be dearly missed and forever remembered for the impact she made on the lives of those around her.
