Margie was raised in a traditional household but was a strong and independent woman who learned how to drive a stick shift and a dirt bike. To support her children she became a house painter and learned how to do drywall as well. She knew how to grow a great garden and harvest and can vegetables to help feed her family through the winter. Her love of gardening also included plants and flowers. Every place she ever lived had multiple plants in windows and scattered seeds planted outside in the spring for the flowers she loved to bloom in the summer. She loved to fish and shared this love of fishing with her children.
