Margaret "Peggie" Dugan-Dorobis, born on September 15, 1963, in Jersey City, NJ, passed away on November 29, 2024, in Toms River, NJ. Peggie was a devoted wife to her husband Joseph Dorobis, with whom she shared 40 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they raised two beloved children, her baby boy Joseph John Dorobis and Allison Dorobis, and found immense joy in their grandson, Nathan Martin Stimpson.
Peggie’s vibrant personality was defined by her selflessness and unconditional love. She cherished her time spent with her large family, which included her older sister Kathleen, brother Patrick, baby sister Michele, and brother John, as well as numerous nieces and nephews who adored her. Peggie’s empathetic nature and great sense of humor lit up any room she entered, leaving a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to know her.
In her free time, Peggie loved indulging in her favorite foods, from diner gravy fries to pot roast and mashed potatoes. She was an avid softball player and enjoyed camping, attending concerts—especially those featuring her favorite artist, Bruce Springsteen—and spending time at the beach or in Atlantic City with family and friends. Her favorite TV shows included "Wentworth," "Orange is the New Black," "Good Girls," and "General Hospital," where she was a devoted fan of Luke and Laura.
Peggie’s love for sports, especially football, was matched only by her passion for creating fond memories with friends, particularly with her best friend Patti Sielski. Her unwavering support for her family and friends made her a true pillar of love and wisdom.
She is predeceased by her father Martin Dugan, her mother Eleanor Fitzpatrick, her brother Martin Dugan, and her sister Veronica "Ronni" Julien. Peggie will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will continue to shine through the countless lives she touched.
