Marcus Murphy Moultry

Columbus, Ohio — Marcus Murphy Moultry, 57, passed away peacefully at his home in Columbus, Ohio, on September 26, 2026. Born on December 22, 1968, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Marcus was the beloved son of the late Wanda Moultry.

Marcus was born at Pennsylvania Presbyterian Hospital and spent his early years in Philadelphia before eventually making Columbus his home. Outgoing, funny, and deeply family oriented, Marcus was purely fun to be around and brought light and warmth to every gathering. He spent most of his time surrounding himself with his wife and family members, as well as his cherished second family-his motorcycle brotherhood. Whether riding on the open road, cheering on Ohio state-Philadelphia Eagles, or enjoying time at home, Marcus's greatest pride was found in bonds he shared with those he loved. When it came to his children/grandchildren, he took every opportunity to offer guidance, and steady encouragement.

Marcus is survived by his loving wife, Maria Moultry, and his children, Kristin, Alexis, DJ, Marcus Jr., and Jacob. He leaves behind a legacy of love in his four grandchildren: Marvin, Honesty, Kimiko, and TaMarion. Marcus is also survived by his brother, Guy, along with extended family and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.

In addition to his mother, Wanda Moultry, Marcus was preceded in death by his son Marques, and brother, Quinten Moultry.

A celebration of Marcus’s life will be held in Columbus, Ohio, with arrangements provided by local family services. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to all who have offered prayers, comfort, and support during this time of remembrance.
