He was an altar boy at St. Basil's Catholic Church in East Detroit, MI. He would go to mass every day of the week and twice on Sunday. I used to joke that The Beatles made the song 8 days a week for him.

Marc Duane Francis (1952 – 2025)
Marc Duane Francis, 73, passed away peacefully on December 23rd, 2025, at St. John's Hospital in Detroit, MI, surrounded by his loving family. Born on March 14th, 1952 in Detroit, MI, he was known for his infectious laugh, smile, easy going personality, and general kindness.
After graduating from East Detroit High School, he began a long career as an Automotive Mechanic, where he was respected for his hard work. He met his beloved wife, Sherri, in 2009, and they shared 5 months of marriage, building a life centered on family and simple joys.
Marc was a dedicated father to Colette and Marc, teaching them the value of hard work, kindness, and love. He found immense joy in cooking, golf, fishing, coaching Little League, often sharing these passions with his grandchildren, Molly and Mia. He leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Marion, and brother Matthew. He is survived by his wife, Sherri; children, Marc (Lauren), Colette, and Sherri's son Ricky (Samantha); grandchildren, Molly, Mia, Givoanni and Meadow; and brother Michael (Kris), sisters Marie, Mary (Rick) and had many nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate his life will be held on January, 23rd, 2026 at 10:00am at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church.
