April 20, 1954 – September 8, 2025
Manuel Owens, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2025, in his hometown of San Antonio, Texas. He was 71 years old.
Born on April 20, 1954, in San Antonio, Manuel lived a life rooted in family, faith, and hard work. Known for his strong hands and even stronger heart, he took great pride in building things around the house and cooking meals for family gatherings — moments that brought his loved ones together and left lasting memories.
Manuel was a proud and devoted member of St. Clare Catholic Church, where his faith guided much of his life. He enjoyed simple pleasures — riding his bike through the neighborhood and collecting cans, always waving hello to neighbors with a warm smile.
He is survived by his loving wife, Clara Owens; his six sons, who carry forward his strength and spirit; numerous grandchildren who adored their grandpa; and his dear sister, who shared a lifetime of memories with him. His legacy lives on through the family he cherished and the community he quietly supported.
A rosary will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at 540 N General McMullen Dr, San Antonio, TX. A burial service will follow on Friday, September 13, 2025, at 8:00 AM at San Fernando Cemetery.
