Obituary
Madelize van Rensburg was born on 12 January 1988 to Bets and Kobus Oosthuizen. At school, she was a remarkable athlete and painter whilst being a very bright student. At university, she studied law and was passionate about advocating for women and children. She has two siblings, Murunwa Thari and Kobus Oosthuizen Jr., whom she loved most dearly.
In 2017 she met the love of her life, Gerhard van Rensburg and they got married in the following year and gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Elizabeth-Lea in 2019. She was a person who lived life with abandon. She inspired others to seek out joy even in the darkest of circumstances and it is this legacy which shall live on.
