Lyriq Vantrell Miller 2016 – January 28, 2026 Omaha, Nebraska — Our little warrior, Lyriq Vantrell Miller, aged 9, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2026, following a courageous and inspiring battle with Lupus. Born to Michael Miller and Taylor Floyd, Lyriq was a bright light in a big, loving family. He was a sweet son, a playful grandson, and a beloved brother to his seven siblings. Whether they were playing together or simply sharing a quiet moment, Lyriq was the heart of the group—a boy whose strength far exceeded his years. Though Lupus took much from him, it could never take his spirit. Lyriq taught his family the true meaning of "brave." He faced every doctor’s visit and every difficult day with a resilience that amazed his parents and his grandparents, Emma Brown and Emmanuel Smith. To his brothers and sisters, he wasn't just a sibling; he was a hero who showed them how to smile through the storm. He leaves behind to cherish his memory: his devoted parents, Michael and Taylor; his loving grandparents, Emma and Emmanuel; his seven brothers and sisters; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who cheered for him every step of the way. Lyriq’s life was a song that ended too soon, but the melody he composed during his nine years will play on in the hearts of those who loved him forever. He is now resting in perfect peace, free from pain, and watching over his family from above. Celebration of Life Funeral Services will be held on February 10, 2026, in Omaha, Nebraska.
