Obituary

Lydia Margaret Corey, age 70, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2024, at her home in Baltimore, MD. She was born April 12, 1951, in Long Branch, to Mark Diaz and Lucy Diaz-Santiago. She worked as a lawyer’s assistant, displaying a wonderful knack for solving problems. Lydia truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with friends and family, going on road trips, and cleaning occasionally throughout the house. Lydia had an uncanny ability to reach loved ones and bring people together in a deep and positive way. She is survived by her siblings Elsa, Ellie, and Johnny Diaz, her daughter Lydia DaCosta, her grandchildren, Jasmine, Javoni, and Maurice DaCosta, and many more.

A funeral service is scheduled for 3:00pm at Veterans Memorial Cemetery located at 350 Provinceline Rd, Wrightstown NJ, 08562.

A knock came at my door as the day was dawning, I said to myself, who could it be so early in the morning? As I rose from my bed looking out to see, there was a Shadow of a man reaching his hand out to me.

Weak as I was I had to open that door, I needed to know what he came here for. I opened the door; I saw the glow on his face, i’ve come Margaret to take you home to a better place, a place where there will be no more crying , the soul lives on forever and there will be no more disease and dying.

Today Margaret I will give you your wings, and you’ll take on a new body as one of God’s celestial beings. So don’t look back, forget the past, you’re on your way to

glory and that will all ways last.

To my family and friends though we’re far apart, always remember to keep me in your heart. And then one day we’ll meet again, in that wonderful glorious place called Heave.
