Luther Wesley Young, born on January 8, 1939, in Pisgah, Alabama, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2024, in Castlewood, Virginia. He was the cherished son of Andrew Jackson Young and Thelma Beatrice Young, both of whom preceded him in death. Luther was also predeceased by his brother, Calvin Young.

Luther is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Jackie Young, who was the love of his life. He leaves behind a devoted family that includes his son, David Young, and his wife, Tiffany; as well as two adopted daughters, Suzanne "Punkin" Thompson and her husband, Marty, and Cassie Senarosa and her husband, Scott. Luther adored his grandchildren: six grandsons, David "Drew" Young and his wife Samantha, Noah Young and his wife Haylee, Jacob Young, Marty "Gator" Thompson and his wife Lindsey, Billy Thompson and his wife Randee, and Xavier Senarosa and his wife Ashley, along with his granddaughter, Alivia Young.

A lover of family, Luther cherished the time spent with his loved ones and his little dog, Homer. He will be remembered for his kind heart, unwavering support, and deep love for those around him. Luther's legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
