Luis Rivera, age 29, of San Diego, California, passed away on May 1, 2026, after a courageous five-year battle with stage 4 lung cancer and stage 4 brain cancer. Born in Kansas City, Missouri, Luis moved to San Diego in 2002 and proudly served four years in the Army. After his service, he built a fulfilling life in California. Surrounded by his family and loved ones, Luis fought bravely, never taking a moment for granted. He was a man of God, a master carpenter, a skilled mechanic, and a talented plumber—he did it all. Luis loved spending time on the beach with his wife and two children, never taking a single moment for granted. He is survived by his children, Luanne, Montae, and Gerald; his wife Annabelle; and his cousin Levi Walls, along with Shannon Walls, Brianna Walls, and Roger Hooper. In his honor, a youth arts charity he cherished will be supported. Luis was truly one of a kind and will be forever missed. Sincerely, the Walls family.
