Lucille Anne James, age 70, born on August 19, 1955, in Minneapolis, passed away peacefully in her hometown on December 8, 2025. She was born to the late Delores Smith and Mark Henry James.
Lucille was a loving, devoted, and big-hearted individual who had a unique way of making everyone feel welcomed and cherished. Her supportive nature and warm smile were a beacon of comfort and love to all who knew her.
A proud graduate of North High School and the University of Minnesota, Lucille earned a Master’s degree in science. She had a fulfilling career as a clinical research manager, where her dedication to advancing science and her passion for helping others shone brightly.
Beyond her professional life, Lucille had a deep appreciation for the arts. She enjoyed painting, capturing the beauty of the world around her, and her love of sewing allowed her to create beautiful, handmade gifts for her loved ones. She also found joy in cooking and baking, often filling her home with the irresistible aroma of her delicious creations.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, Delores Smith and Mark Henry James. She is survived by her beloved children, siblings, and cherished grandchildren. Her presence will be greatly missed, but her legacy will live on through the love and memories she shared with family and friends.
A celebration of Lucille’s life will be held on December 22, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Shiloh Temple International Ministries. Family and friends are encouraged to honor Lucille by sharing memories, laughter, and love. In a living remembrance, guests are kindly asked to wear blue to the service.
