Lowene Marie Whitcomb, lovingly known as Mom and Grandma, peacefully passed away on January 31, 2024, at the age of 74. She was born on May 4, 1949, in Texas, and most recently resided in Grottoes, VA.

Lowene was a woman of faith, finding solace and inspiration in Psalm 94:19. Her proudest accomplishment and greatest joy in life was raising her seven children: Timothy, Rebecca, Reatha, David, Rachel, Gregory, and Lanicia. Her love and devotion extended to her grandchildren as well, including Samuel, Thea, Kylie, Kira, and Naomi.

Quiet, calm, and reserved, Lowene possessed immense wisdom and was known for her attentive listening skills. She exemplified patience, kindness, and generosity, always willing to serve others. Her gentle spirit touched the lives of those around her, and her legacy of selflessness will forever be cherished.

Lowene was an active member of Grace Covenant Church, where she found strength and community. Her Christian faith guided her throughout her life and was an integral part of her identity.

In addition to her family, Lowene is survived by her brother, Stanley Ellis, who shared a special bond with her.

Lowene Marie Whitcomb will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will be honored through the lives she touched, the values she instilled, and the love she shared.
