Lourdes Sison Guevara, lovingly known as Odette, passed away on May 16, 2024, at the age of 93. She was born on January 7, 1931, in Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines, and most recently resided in Las Vegas, NV.

Odette had a passion for gardening, cooking, and home decor and beautification. She enjoyed spending her free time cultivating beautiful gardens and creating delicious meals for her loved ones. One of her favorite musical artists was Kenny Rogers, whose music brought her great joy.

Professionally, Odette was a successful businesswoman with accomplishments that spanned various industries. She established Ricocel Fashion Apparel, Secretarial Efficiency Training (SET) Center, and Crest Lodge, Inc. Her dedication and hard work were evident in these ventures, and she took great pride in her achievements.

Odette was married to her loving husband, Jose B. Guevara, who has since passed away. Together, they built Crest Lodge, Inc., a facility that provided a safe haven for elderly and challenged individuals in need of assistance. Through this organization, Odette impacted the lives of many, offering temporary and long-term care, encouraging independence, fostering health, and nurturing self-esteem. In addition to her daily chores in the business, Odette also managed to take care of Joe for 16 years when he suffered a stroke in 1999 and was paralyzed. Amazingly, she learned how to drive a Ford Aerostar out of necessity.

Odette's memory will forever be cherished by her children Marita, Carlos, Tom, Cecille, Sweepea, and Masette; her grandchildren Miguel, Jose, Romeo, Gilbert, Rebecca, Danielle, Maharlika, William, Andy, Alec, Jed, Ryan, Gabe, and great-grandchildren Tami, Elon, and Arya. She will be missed dearly by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.

Odette will be remembered for her strict yet gentle nature and her firm yet flexible approach to life. Her openness to new experiences sparked creativity, which she generously shared with her colleagues and subordinates.

In honoring the life of Lourdes Sison Guevara, let us celebrate her accomplishments, her impact on others, and the love and kindness she brought to the world. May she rest in eternal peace.
