Lorraine Zedeck, born on June 1, 1941, in Brooklyn, NY, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2024, in Lake Worth, FL. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished her family above all else.
Lorraine is survived by her daughter Jodi and son David. She took immense pride in watching her grandchildren—Melissa, Paige, Amber, Savanah, and Jake—grow into successful individuals and was overjoyed to welcome her great-grandchildren: Colton, Robbie, Jameson, and Travis. Her love for her family was unwavering, and she often expressed that her favorite place in the world was anywhere her loved ones were.
Known for her curly hair and loud voice, Lorraine had a vibrant personality that could light up any room. She enjoyed knitting, reading and spent countless hours cheering on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren during their various milestones. Lorraine had a special fondness for cherry limeades from Sonic and chocolate ice cream, which she savored during family gatherings. She loved going to the kosher butcher to buy meat to stock up not only one but two freezers worth.
A devoted member of the Jewish community, Lorraine was actively involved with the Jewish Center of BayShore when she lived in New York, where she contributed her time and energy. Her favorite television shows included "Blue Bloods" and "NCIS," which she loved to watch in the company of her family.
Lorraine often shared her favorite sayings, "mashugana" and "yenta," reflecting her warm and candid spirit. She will be remembered for her deep love of family and her ability to create joyful memories that will last a lifetime.
Lorraine is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack, who shared in her many joys and laughter. Her legacy of love and commitment to family will continue to inspire all who knew her.
