Lorraine A. Gabel 82, passed away Monday April 8, 2024 at Evangelical Community Hospital in Lewisburg Pa. She and husband John had been residing at Milton Nursing Home and Rehab center in Milton Pa, where Lorraine's health had been declining. She went home to be with the Lord Monday April 8, 2024. She is survived by her husband of 63 years of marriage, John Gabel. Also surviving are their 5 children, John Gabel Jr ( Tenn.), Annette Holba ( New Hampshire), Leroy Gabel (Lewisburg) , Maggie Schreck ( Florida), and Joyce Salizzoni ( Ohio.) John and Lorraine have 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Lorraine's living siblings are Michael Ross, Jeanne Ranck, Robert Ross, Dorothy Bird, Christine Nitczski and Shirley Wolfe. She had other siblings that had passed away before her death.

Lorraine worked all of her life as a seamstress in Northumberland Pa. After she retired she worked part time as a meat wrapper in a local butcher shop and she cleaned a local church in her home town of Winfield for many years. She enjoyed watching Law and Order and other detective shows while eating anything sweet. She liked her sweets. Lorraine also enjoyed Country Music.

A Celebration of Life is being planned for May 11,2024. Details will be announced at a later date.
