Obituary

Lonnie Wayne Cogburn "Road Runner", born on August 7, 1960, in Crescent City, California, passed away on October 11, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents Logene and Clyde Cogburn, maternal and paternal grandparents, and brother-in-law Ronnie Chambers.

Lonnie cherished the great outdoors, finding joy in hunting, fishing, and spending time in nature. He loved sharing stories about big the bucks that he had killed, turkey hunting adventures, and most of all how there was nothing better than fishing in the early morning to the late evening. He loved being surrounded by his family, taking great pride in his grandchildren: Kyleigh, Hylan, Lyla, Bridger, and Marlee. His family was his world, and he expressed his love for them deeply. He found peace and comfort at his favorite spot, the creek, while hanging out with his pitbull, "whiskey". He often shared his life perspective as "Things of this world are just materials, eternity is forever."

Lonnie is survived by his children, Crystal and Kaleb Cogburn, of Glenwood, Lonna Cogburn of Hot Springs; siblings Sherri Chambers of Caddo Gap, Paul and Carolyn Ricks of Hot Springs; his beloved grandchildren; nieces Courtney Warren, Michelle Mock, Carol Dickinson; nephews Billy Chambers, Michael Chambers, James Dickinson; several great nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Lonnie's faith Assembly of God, is what carried him through this earth. He will be remembered for his passion for life, his love for family, and his adventurous spirit. May his memories forever be in our hearts, until we meet again.

"I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die: and whoever lives by believing in me will never die." John 11: 25-26
