Lisa Marie Rice, affectionately known as Mona Lisa, passed away in her home on August 30, 2024, at the age of 55. Born on April 6, 1969, in Oskaloosa, Iowa, Lisa spent her final years in Freeport, Illinois, where she created lasting memories with her loved ones.
Lisa was a devoted wife to her husband, Keith Rice, and a proud mother to her three children: Ariel (married to Scotty), Christina (married to Karly Gates), and Brandon. She cherished her role as a grandmother to Aria and Melody, who brought immense joy to her life. Lisa is also survived by her mother, Joy Fenton, and her brother, Dean Fenton.
A graduate who proudly earned her CNA certificate, Lisa was known for her loving and caring nature, always willing to lend an ear or offer support to anyone in need. In high school, she excelled as a cheerleader and was an active member of the swim team. Lisa had a passion for playing games on her phone, spending quality time with family, and enjoying bingo nights. She found delight in the simple pleasure of fried chicken and had a soft spot for her beloved cats.
A fan of television, Lisa enjoyed shows such as "Law and Order," "ER," "Days of Our Lives," "Blue Bloods," "Chicago Fire," and "Criminal Minds." Lisa had a special fondness for Seattle, Washington, often calling it her favorite place in the world.
Known for her humor, Lisa often quipped, "I’m sicker than you are," reflecting her lightheartedness and vibrant spirit. Her legacy of love and devotion to her family will be cherished by all who knew her. Lisa Marie Rice will be deeply missed but remembered fondly by her family and friends.
