Lisa Schmaltz (née Escalante), 69, of Cary, NC, passed away on June 3, 2024 in Raleigh, NC. She was born on September 23, 1954. Lisa was an Instructional Designer by profession and had a passion for cooking and baking, reading, drawing, and serving as a Guardian ad Litem.
She is survived by her loving children Jennifer Conley and Matthew Schmaltz, her brothers Anthony and Louis Escalante, and cherished grandchildren Aiden, Natalie, Paige, Everett, Madison, and Colton. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Schmaltz.
The family will receive friends and relatives at Oasis Church, located at 1828 Ralph Stephens Rd, Holly Springs, NC 27540, on Friday, June 14, 2024 at 5:00pm to pay their respects and celebrate Lisa's life.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lisa's favorite charity, Southeast German Shepherd Rescue, in her memory.
