Obituary

Linda Tracy Middleton, born on July 4, 1955, in Brooklyn, NY, passed away on December 5, 2024, in her hometown. A dedicated special education teacher, Linda earned her Master’s Degree in Education from the College of New Rochelle, marking a proud achievement in her life.

Linda was married to Sam Middleton III until his passing in 2019. Together, they raised three children: Christopher Middleton, Sam Middleton VI, and Andrea Middleton. Linda was a loving grandmother to Nyasia Queen Burris, Amaya Middleton, and Madison Taylor Dennis, as well as a cherished matriarch to a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Known for her intelligence, compassion, and hard work, Linda was a God-fearing woman who lived by the motto, “You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.” Her unwavering faith and commitment to serving others defined her life. Linda was deeply involved in her community, passionately serving the homeless and developmentally disabled populations. She was a faithful member of Beulah Church, fulfilling roles as an usher, evangelist, and prayer warrior.

Linda's impact on the lives of others was profound; she was always ready to offer a helping hand, whether through a hot meal, financial assistance, or simply a listening ear. She participated in educational programs and actively contributed to local shelters by providing food, clothing, and toys for those in need.

Survived by her mother, Thelma Stephens, and her sister, Brenda Stephens, Linda leaves behind a legacy of love and service. Her greatest accomplishment, as she often shared, was living for Christ, a testament to her passion, dedication, and the love she extended to all around her. Linda will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
