It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Stone, a beloved mother, friend, and pillar of our community, who left this world on June 9, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on February 10, 1950, in West Virginia, Linda brought warmth, kindness, and laughter to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
From her earliest days, Linda embodied a spirit of resilience and compassion. Growing up in the picturesque landscapes of West Virginia, she developed a deep appreciation for nature and the simple joys of life. Her laughter was infectious, and her ability to connect with others made her an extraordinary friend and confidante.
Linda spent much of her life in Ohio, where she cultivated a welcoming home filled with love and warmth. She was a devoted mother to her cherished sons, Edward, Lonnie and John who was the light of her life. As a parent, Linda instilled values of kindness, integrity, and perseverance in her sons, nurturing them with the same love and care that defined her existence. Their bond was unbreakable, and Linda took immense pride in their accomplishments and the person he has become.
Her professional life was marked by dedication and passion. Linda worked tirelessly, often putting the needs of others before her own, and she was known for her unwavering commitment to her work and her community. She believed in the power of kindness and the importance of lending a helping hand whenever possible. Linda's generous spirit was felt by many, and her legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched.
Linda had a unique ability to create joy in every moment, whether it was through her love of cooking, her talent for storytelling, or her knack for finding beauty in the mundane. She was known for hosting gatherings that brought family and friends together, always with a warm meal and a welcoming smile. Her home was a sanctuary, filled with laughter, love, and an open-door policy that made everyone feel like family.
As we remember Linda, we celebrate her life—a life lived fully and authentically. She faced challenges with grace and faced adversity with unwavering strength. Her love for her family was boundless, and she cherished every moment spent with those she held dear.
Linda is survived by her beloved sons, Edward Baisden, Lonnie Baisden, John Baisden and her grandchildren Harley Baisden, Elijah Myers, Noah Baisden, and Hannah Baisden. While the world feels a little less bright without her, we take comfort in knowing that her spirit lives on in her family and in the hearts of all who knew her. Her memory will continue to inspire kindness, love, and gratitude in our lives.
Linda Stone was a remarkable woman who will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May her soul find peace, and may we all strive to live with the same love, compassion, and joy that she brought to our lives.
