Obituary

Linda Stacy DuVall, 72, passed away on September 19, 2024 in Caldwell, Idaho, following a courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer. She passed away peacefully at home with her loved ones at her side. Linda was a devoted mother, grandmother, and wife who touched the lives of many around her.

Linda was born on May 14, 1952, in Pocatello, Idaho to Herb and Mary Allen. After graduating Pocatello High School she moved to Lewiston, Idaho and attended Lewis-Clark State College. She became a printer and had two children with her first husband.

She returned to Pocatello and worked for many years as a printer at Farm Bureau. She worked tremendously hard, at one point taking on 3 jobs to support her children. Later in life she became an accomplished hotel general manager, Linda balanced her career with a deep commitment to her family. She made sure to light up her children's eyes at every holiday, by maximizing the spirit with her holiday decor. She would come up with the most unique ways for her kids to make money, like a fishing pond in the driveway or collecting worms in the park across the street. She was always actively involved in her children's lives, taking on roles such as soccer coach, cub scout leader, and guardian of Job's Daughters. Her nurturing spirit made her a second mom to many, instilling values of support and kindness in everyone she met.

While living in Pocatello Linda met and later married Robert (Bob) DuVall on September 5, 2015. They enjoyed overseas trips to Japan and Germany. They loved spending time on the water fishing and Linda always caught the most and biggest fish. Often times you would find them enjoying a game of Bingo with friends out at Fort Hall or at home playing cards. In late 2020, they moved to Caldwell to be closer to their children and grandchildren. Linda's biggest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren and family.

Linda's passions included chatting with her friends daily, feeding her birds, and finding joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a particular fondness for tomatoes and Italian food and embraced her love for the color purple, even dyeing her hair to reflect her vibrant personality.

She will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family and her infectious spirit that brought joy to all who knew her. Linda's legacy of love and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

She leaves behind her husband Bob DuVall and cherished children: Angela (Robert) Johnson and Mark (Renee) Stacy, as well as stepsons Brent (Keirsten) DuVall and Ryan (Sarah) DuVall. Linda was a proud grandmother to Taylor, Amelia, Kaylee, Jordyn, Reese, Ridge, Jace, and Jonathan, with whom she loved to spend her time. She is preceded in death by her father Herb Allen, mother Mary Allen, and brother Robert Allen.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society in Linda's name.
