She saw The Beatles in Chicago. The Beatles performed in Chicago's Comiskey Park on August 22, 1965, as part of their US tour. The concert was a significant event, with over 20,000 fans attending the show. This was one of the band’s earliest stadium concerts in the United States. Tickets were $5.50. She took 6 years of Spanish and was fluent in conversational Spanish.

Linda Marie La Tour, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and devoted member of Calvary Tabernacle Church, passed away on June 12, 2024, at the age of 73. She was born on June 3, 1951, in Chicago, IL, to the late Howard and Marian Lambert. Linda was a resident of Beloit, WI, where she had made her home for many years.
Linda had a zest for life and enjoyed various hobbies. She found solace in reading her Bible, coloring in coloring books, and cooking homemade meals. In her younger years, Linda was an avid artist and took pleasure in horseback riding—horses were her absolute favorite. Linda was also an avid collector of porcelain dolls. She cherished the memories of seeing The Beatles perform in Chicago's Comiskey Park, a concert that left an indelible mark on her.
Linda's family was her pride and joy. She adored her husband, Robert La Tour, and they were happily married for over 40 years. Together they raised three children: Andrea, Stephen, and James. She doted on her seven grandchildren: Elianna, Xavier, Emilia, Declan, Amaya, Ava, and Alaia, who brought immense joy to her life.
Linda had a longstanding career, dedicating nearly 40 years of her life to K-Mart. Her hard work and dedication were evident throughout her professional journey.
Guided by her faith, Linda was an active member of her church and found comfort and strength in her unwavering belief in God.
One of Linda's favorite places in the world was Hawaii, where she had the opportunity to visit multiple times, including a memorable trip with her grandmother, Pauline.
Linda will be deeply missed by her surviving family, including her husband, Robert La Tour; her children, Andrea, Stephen (Ashley), and James; her grandchildren; her siblings, Kathy McCann (Dennis McCann), Scott Lambert (Margie Lambert), and Gregg Lambert; and her extended family and friends.
Her memory will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved her. Linda's kind heart, unwavering faith, and love for her family will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
A memorial service to celebrate Linda's life will be held at her beloved church, where she found solace and community:
