Gardening, collecting shells on the beach, reading, boat rides, relaxing and watching the sunset
Linda Marie Guthrie (Egener) passed away February, 6th 2025 surrounded by her loving family.
Linda was the middle daughter, born March 9th 1959, to Joan and Rudy Egener. She was a beloved and caring sister to Susan (Scott) Scheife, and the late Patricia Egener. Sister in-law to Deborah (Bill) Davis, Brian (Sue) Guthrie, and Cheryl Guthrie. And the one and only "Auntie Linda!" to Heather, Scott (Nicole), James (Sara), Katie (Tom), Amanda (Corey), Adam, Cassidee (Logan), and Weston (Jordan). And great-aunt to many great nieces and nephews.
Linda is already terribly missed by her family, her husband Kevin, whom she was married to for 37 years. Along with her two children, Marissa (Andy) and Steven. She also absolutely adored her fuzzy grandchildren, whom she affectionately referred to as her 'grand-amals" Zoe, Leo & Pep.
Linda had a vivacious personality, she loved to laugh and have fun, and she was darn good at it too. To know her was to laugh with her, to love her, and to maybe be involved in a prank or two if you were lucky. She loved taking pictures, especially of sunsets and the people she loved.
Linda was a dedicated mother & wife, an avid reader, a wine connoisseur, loved to vacation at the beach with her family each spring, and always enjoyed a great meal. Most of all she loved to spend time with her family and friends.
Linda loved being around water, whether the lake or the ocean. One of her favorite things to do was take sunset pontoon rides on Wind Lake with her husband, Kevin, when the weather permitted of course (that darn wind). Where they would share a night cap, while cruising around to their favorite spots, Frog Alley and Grass Island. When they would vacation each year in Florida as a family, they would spend hours at the beach, walking, swimming and most importantly hunting for the best seashells they could find to add to her collection. Always followed by watching the sunset together & a night of laughter.
Forever missed. We love you mom.
