Linda Lee Banks, a beloved member of the Petersburg community, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2024, at the age of 72. She was born on June 4, 1952, in Washington, D.C., and was the loving wife of Roland Banks.
Linda dedicated 30 years of her professional life to the Southside Virginia Training Center, where she made a significant impact before retiring. However, her proudest accomplishments were her children. She poured her love and devotion into raising her children, Latroyal, Tashunna, Roland, Terry, Nikki, and Waylon.
Aside from her professional and personal achievements, Linda was deeply involved in her community. She was a lifelong member of Faith & Hope Temple COGIC and later became an active member of Higher Way. Linda found solace and strength in her faith and was committed to serving others.
Linda Lee Banks will be remembered for her unwavering dedication to her family, her commitment to her community, and her kind-hearted nature. She leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of love and service. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace.
