Linda J Fay, lovingly known as Linny, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2024, in Woodstock, Illinois, at the age of 77. She was born on June 23, 1947, in Woodstock, Illinois, to the late Roger and Beatrice Meyer.
Throughout her life, Linda was known for her loving and giving nature. She had a passion for sewing and spent countless hours creating beautiful pieces. Linda also enjoyed watching the Halmark channel and spending quality time with her family. She had a talent for finding the perfect gift for her loved ones.
Linda had a deep appreciation for delicious meals, with garlic shrimp fettuccine being one of her favorite dishes. Country music filled her heart, and she found joy in listening to her favorite bands and musical artists.
Family was of utmost importance to Linda, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She took great pride in being a supportive and loving mother to her daughter, Laurie (Brian) Smith. Linda adored her grandchildren, Sidney (Briana) Smith, Tristan Smith, Brendan Smith, and Kaylee Smith, and they brought immense joy to her life.
On October 25, 1969, Linda married the love of her life, Larry Fay, after his return from service in Vietnam. They shared a deep bond and created beautiful memories together.
Professionally, Linda worked as a Title Officer/Manager for Northern Land Title and also served as a Legal Secretary for Thomas Schmitt in Marengo.
Linda will be remembered for her loving and giving nature, her passion for family, and her unwavering dedication to her grandchildren. Her favorite quote, "Love you all," truly exemplifies the love she had for those around her.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Fay; her daughter, Laurie (Brian) Smith; her siblings, Carol Larsen, David (Linda Rizzo) Meyer, and Judy (Ron) Habbley; and her cherished grandchildren.
Linda J Fay will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
