Linda's love for dog rescue was evident in her favorite hobby, where she dedicated her time and efforts to providing a loving home for countless furry companions. However, her true passion lay in exploring the world and experiencing different cultures. Linda's favorite place on Earth was difficult to choose, as her journeys took her to various corners of the globe. She resided in Germany and embarked on memorable trips to Asia and Europe.

Among Linda's proudest accomplishments were her roles at the United States Information Agency (USIA) and the State Department, where she had the privilege of working under notable figures such as Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice. Linda's dedication to international relations allowed her to visit numerous countries, fulfilling her desire to understand and connect with diverse communities.

Linda was born to Albert and Cora Thompson, and she cherished her relationships with her siblings. She was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Howard Monceaux, her sister-in-law Janice Thompson, and her sister Ruby Meyers. Linda found comfort in the love and support of her surviving brother, Roy Thompson, her brother-in-law, William Meyers, and shared a close bond with her sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Ken Batey.

Linda's legacy lives on through her beloved son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Sherry Haas. She took immense pride in their accomplishments and the joy they brought to her life. Linda was also blessed with three grandchildren: Nathan Parker, Aly Moore, and Sydney Haas, who filled her days with love and laughter.

With each new journey Linda embarked upon, she left a lasting impact on those she met along the way. Her kind heart, adventurous spirit, and unwavering dedication to making a difference will continue to inspire all those who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
