Lillie Ruth Furtick passed away after battling cancer on December 24, 2025 in West Columbia, SC at age 79. She was born in Gaston, SC to Lonnie and Bessie Dowd on March 20,1946. Ruth will always be remembered for her big heart, unwavering faith, amazing cooking and her love for her family. On September 8, 1962, she married Milo Furtick and together they raised 4 children; Jean, Glenda (Donald), Bryan, and Randall (Randy). Ruth and Milo became grandparents to many grandchildren and great-grandparents to even more great-grandchildren. Ruth enjoyed camping and fishing at Santee State Park with her family and was a proud member of Trinity Baptist Tabernacle. She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Husband (Milo), son (Bryan) and son-in-law (Carroll). She is survived by 3 children, grandchildren, great-grands and loving family.
