Lillie B Newson, affectionately known as Lillie Bean, PeeWee, or The Lil', peacefully passed away on June 29, 2024, at the age of 78. She was born on December 12, 1945, in Tate County, MS, and most recently resided in Sikeston, MO.
Lillie was a woman of many passions and interests. She found joy in cooking, creating soulful dishes that brought comfort and happiness to those around her. When she wasn't in the kitchen, she could often be found engrossed in crime investigation series, a genre that captivated her attention. But above all, Lillie cherished spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren.
Lillie had a strong sense of independence and was known for her hardworking nature. She had a successful career in the cooking and health fields, leaving a lasting impact on those she served. One of her proudest accomplishments was raising her children, whom she loved deeply.
In her free time, Lillie enjoyed listening to the music of the Jackson Southernaires, a band that held a special place in her heart. She found solace in her Quiet Space, a place where she could reflect and find peace.
Lillie had a great sense of humor and often shared her advice with those around her. One of her favorite sayings was, "Don't get Slapped in the Mouth," a reminder to always choose your words wisely.
She also had a passion for baseball, a sport that brought her joy and excitement. Lillie's memory will be cherished by all who knew her, as she leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and dedication to family.
Lillie B Newson is survived by her children and grandchildren, who were the center of her world. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit and love will forever live on in their hearts.
