With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Leroy Dee "Grandpa Dee" Bussey, who left this world peacefully. Grandpa Dee was a man of many talents—he was a prankster, a magician, a loving husband, and a devoted grandfather. His life was full of laughter, love, and the kind of joy that only someone with a true sense of fun could bring.
Known for his mischievous pranks and quick wit, Grandpa Dee could always be counted on to brighten any room with his sense of humor. Whether it was a playful joke or a well-timed trick, he had a gift for making people laugh, and his grandkids were his favorite audience. One of his signature talents was his passion for close-up magic—an art he loved to perform for his grandkids, always leaving them in awe and wonder with his sleight of hand and unexpected tricks.
Grandpa Dee also cherished the simple pleasures in life, particularly the moments spent dancing with his beloved wife, Clarabella. Their bond was one of deep love and mutual respect, and they could often be found swaying together on the dance floor, lost in the music and the rhythm of their shared life. It was in those moments that his laughter was at its brightest, his joy at its fullest.
Though Grandpa Dee had a playful side, he was also a man of great integrity and seriousness when the situation called for it. He knew when to be stern and when to offer wise counsel, and his children and grandchildren alike respected him deeply for his guidance, strength, and unwavering support. He understood the importance of discipline, hard work, and doing what was right, and those lessons will continue to live on in the hearts of those he loved.
Grandpa Dee may be gone, but his magic, his laughter, and his love will never fade. He was truly one of a kind, and we are forever grateful for the memories he gave us. Rest in peace, Grandpa Dee—you will always be in our hearts, and your spirit will live on through the laughter, magic, and dances we share in your honor.
We'll plant real trees for you in Leroy's memory and display your contribution forever.
