Obituary

Leother “Big Lee”, Leo Ratliff was born July 6, 1956 to the late Henrine Joiner and James Lee Ratliff, Sr. Due to the early passing of his mother at a young age, Lee was raised by his late loving and devoted stepmother, Lovie James Ratliff, he affectionately called Love. Lee was preceded in death by his three (3) sisters; Rosie Lee Weathersby, Mazine and Rozanna Ratliff, four (4) brothers; Willie Joiner, Roderick Hollins, Perry Ratliff and Johnny Lee Ratliff, Sr.

Lee confessed a hope in Christ at a very early age. Through the various trials and tribulations that he endured in his life, he never stopped believing in the forgiving power and loving nature of God the Father and often told his daughter Marsha how much he loved the Lord and thanked Him for cleansing him of his many sins. He was always asking for forgiveness from those he wronged, he would say “Especially my kids” and we would always say “ We forgive you Pops.”

Lee leaves to honor his memories, his firstborn daughter, Marsha (Marcus, Sr.) Lewis of Merigold, MS, daughter Consuela Contessa Sexton, of Greenville, MS, firstborn son LeMarcus Levelle (Freida) Taylor Sr., LeTrunn Terrell Taylor, four (4) granddaughters, Kiersten Monet Lewis, Feleia Taylor, Markayala Taylor, Cayleigh Hayes, ten (10) grandsons, Marcus Shaun Lewis Jr., Gabriel Michael Lewis, Markell Pam, MarTez Taylor, Amarion Taylor Sr., Jamarcus Taylor, Marquess Taylor, Marvin Bennett Blackmon Jr. (deceased), Amerrick Sifor White Jr., and William Lorenzo Johnson, one (1) great grandson, Amarion Taylor Jr., eight (8) sisters; Ruthie (Joe) Mays, Norma Jean (Relda) Jenkins of Greenville, MS., Ms. Thelma Martin, Gloria (James) Sanders,  Ms. Patricia Johnson, Tracy (Jerry) White, all of Leland, MS., Tammy (Anthony) Morris of Minnesota, and Corine Corbin of St. Louis, MO; nine (9) brothers; James (Lucille) Ratliff, Jr., James (Patricia) Ratliff, Sylvester (Marcie) Ratliff, and Theodore Ratliff all of Greenville, MS, Terrence (Jada) Ratliff of Gulf Port, MS, Nelson (Carol) Ratliff and Sherman Ratliff, both of Minnesota and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
