Leopoldo Fonseca Garcia, lovingly known as Leo, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2024, at the age of 72. He was born on June 11, 1951, in McAllen, Texas, the place that held a special place in his heart throughout his life. Leo recently resided in Texas City, Texas, where he enjoyed spending time with his beloved wife, family, and grandkids.
Leo had a zest for life and a great sense of humor that endeared him to all who knew him. He had a passion for Tex Mex Enchiladas, and his favorite musical artist was Steve Jordan. Leo had a talent for playing the guitar and loved to sing. Western classics were his favorite TV shows, and he was an avid baseball fan.
Leo's proudest accomplishment was his family. He cherished his wife, Rosalba Garcia, and their children Ghael Reyes, Sophia Garcia, and Jesse Garcia. His grandchildren held a special place in his heart, especially Ghael, who is 12 years old, and Sophia, who is 15 years old.
Leo lived a life of faith and worked in a church for several years before retiring. He was known for his prayers and friendship, impacting the lives of those around him. Leo's defining personality traits were his sense of humor and his deep love for his family.
In his free time, Leo enjoyed spending time with his loved ones, appreciating the simple joys of life. He often reminisced about his favorite place in the world, McAllen, Texas, and enjoyed watching baseball games with his family.

A funeral service will be held to celebrate Leopoldo Fonseca Garcia's life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to the church Leo served with dedication and devotion. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
