Leonard Earl Brooks Jr., affectionately known as Leo, was born on October 14, 1973, in Dallas, Texas. He passed away on November 27, 2024, in Denver, Colorado. Leo was a dedicated Cisco Engineer, known for his technical expertise and problem-solving skills.
A man of many passions, Leo found joy in fishing, gardening, and the art of smoking meat. He delighted in sharing BBQ with friends and family, always finding time to enjoy his favorite foods, especially crab legs and German cuisine. A devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, he could often be found cheering for his team, embodying the spirit of a true sports enthusiast.
Leo had a vibrant personality that could make anyone laugh, and his love for music, particularly Acappella, was evident in the way he connected with others. His favorite TV show, "House," often served as a backdrop for his love of lively conversations and cherished moments with family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Bobbie Brooks, and their children: TreZel (16), Jyril (15), Angelica (12), as well as Hayley and Derek from his first marriage. He is also mourned by his parents, Donna and Leonard Sr., and his brother, Chris.
A member of the Church of Christ, Leo lived by the motto, "Stay steady in the boat," a testament to his calm demeanor and steadfast spirit. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
