Leona Lynn Curry-Leuthold, born on June 2, 1970, in Seattle, WA, passed away on April 13, 2024, in her beloved hometown. She was a vibrant individual who brought joy and laughter to the lives of those around her.
Leona had a passion for shopping, not only for herself but also for others. She had a taste for a variety of cuisines, with Chinese food, fried chicken, Mom's fry bread, Ethiopian food, and junk food topping her list of favorites. However, nothing brought her more happiness than spending time with her daughter, family, and friends.
One of Leona's favorite places in the world was the Native Park in Downtown Seattle, where she could find solace and peace. She was an avid soccer fan and had a special admiration for Allen Iverson.
Leona's life motto was "I GOT WHAT YOU NEED," a reflection of her generosity and willingness to help others. Her proudest accomplishment was being there for her daughter, Jalea. She is also survived by her grandson, Cassius Johnson, and granddaughter, Amira Tucker.
In addition to her immediate family, Leona is survived by her sister Marilyn Franklin, sister Rutia Douglas, brother Marvin Agtarap, brother Karl Leuthold, and brother Adrian Leuthold. She will be remembered for her love of dance, music, family, laughter, her affinity for playing dominoes and enjoying a smoke.
Leona had a unique ability to bring people together with her infectious laughter and captivating fashion sense. She will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
