Leon Barinford Knight, beloved construction worker and New Haven resident, passed away on March 20, 2024, at the age of 44. He was born on July 13, 1979, in New Haven, CT, to Elizabeth and Arnold Knight.

Leon was known to family and friends by his nickname, Leon. He lived his entire life in New Haven and embraced the motto to "live like there's no tomorrow." Leon approached each day with a zest for life and a determination to beat the odds.

Throughout his career, Leon found fulfillment in his work as a construction worker. His dedication and perseverance were evident in all that he accomplished. He took great pride in his contributions to various projects, always striving for excellence in his craft.

Leon was a loving partner to Tabitha Soules and a devoted father to his four children: Levaugn, Lanisha, Brionna, and Kaely. He also adored his grandson, Greyson, who brought him immeasurable joy. Leon is survived by his parents, Elizabeth and Arnold Knight, as well as his four brothers and one sister.

Known for his kind-hearted nature, Leon had a deep love for animals and embraced his creative side through his artistic pursuits. He was a faithful Muslim, finding solace in his religious and spiritual beliefs.
