Born to the late Melba and Leo Duncan Schultz, Leo George Schultz, born on December 13, 1946, peacefully passed away at the age of 78 on April 30, 2025, in his adopted home of Maine. He was surrounded by family.
Known for his unyielding love for his family, Leo's proudest achievements were undoubtedly his children and the remarkable paths they have paved. His heart brimmed with pride for every one of them, and he always celebrated their successes as his own.
Leo is survived by his beloved spouse, Nancy Brown, with whom he shared many years of partnership, laughter, and unconditional love.
He was one of five siblings. He is preceded in death by his brother Norman and is survived by his siblings Donald, Robert, and Kathy, who continue to honor his memory through their own lives.
Leo was the proud father of many children, each of whom brought him immense pride and joy. He is preceded in death by his son, Leo "Sonny" Schultz. He is lovingly remembered by his surviving children: Drusilla, Ginger, Sandra, Audra, Nathan, Cindy, Teresa, Travis, and Lowanne. His legacy lives on in them, as well as in the many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who carry forward his spirit and values.
Leo was a man of simple pleasures who found joy in working on cars and making deals—a true enthusiast who could spend hours tinkering in the garage. But above all, Leo was a man who would help anyone in need. He had an innate generosity, offering help even when he knew there'd be nothing in return. He never hesitated to lend a hand, and although he sometimes struggled to show his love in conventional ways, you always knew he cared deeply.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no formal service or funeral. Instead, Leo invites you to celebrate his life in your own way, perhaps with a fond memory, a shared laugh, c or a quiet moment of reflection.
As we say our farewells, let's remember Leo in his favorite way to say goodbye:
See you later, Alligators.
In Dad's wishes, there will be no ceremony.
