Leo Albert Duclos, born on July 12, 1934, in Manila, Arkansas, passed away on October 1, 2024, in Decatur, Alabama. He was a devoted husband to Jenifer Duclos and a loving father to his children: Kevin, Keith, Chantelle, Celeste, Ben, and Mandy. Leo also cherished his role as a grandfather to Taylor McCullough.
A distinguished world traveler, Leo enjoyed exploring various cultures for both pleasure and work. He had a passion for college football and was an avid fan of Johnny Cash and Charlie Pride. Throughout his life, he found joy in western television shows and movies, often sharing these moments with friends and family over a beverage.
Leo dedicated 33 years of service to the Army National Guard in Arkansas, where he completed numerous military courses, including the Artillery Basic Course and Medical Basic Course. He earned a PhD from Purdue University and shared his knowledge as a professor in the Agriculture Department at Arkansas State University. After a fulfilling career, he retired from Pfizer Genetics.

Known for his down-to-earth perspective on life, Leo often said, "It is what it is," reflecting his easygoing demeanor. His favorite place in the world was Brazil, though he found beauty everywhere he went. Leo will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
