Leilah Greer, affectionately known as Lay, passed away on January 6, 2024, at the age of 17. She was born on January 24, 2006, in Decatur, Illinois, and had been a resident of Decatur throughout her life.

Lay was an individual who lived life to the fullest, embracing a motto that reflected her zest for adventure and fun. Her favorite saying, "if you play you lay," encapsulated her free-spirited nature and her belief in taking risks without hesitation.

Lay will be remembered for her vibrant personality and infectious laughter that could light up any room. She had a knack for bringing joy to those around her and creating lasting memories. Whether it was through her playful antics or her compassionate nature, she had a profound impact on the lives of many.

Though her time with us was cut short, Lay leaves behind cherished memories that will forever be held close by her loved ones. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
