Obituary
Larry was born in Glasgow, Scotland on November 16th, 1939 to John and Annie Rankin. He was blessed with seven siblings, Jack, Joseph, Sidney, Tony, Carol Ann, Maureen, and Rosie.
Upon leaving school Larry enlisted in the Royal Air Force and served in Cyprus as a cook from 1957 – 1962. After immigrating to Canada in the 60s with his family, Larry continued his work in the catering industry - prisons, hospitals, businesses, mining camps, and schools.
Larry loved travelling, seeing new places and meeting people. He enjoyed watching sports on television, singing and dancing and playing golf with friends.
Larry is survived by his wife Janet and children Lynn, Lesley, Jasen, and Annie. Papa will be missed by his grandchildren Michelle (John), Ian (Gemma), Paisley (Cassie), Dylan , Brittney, Jennie, Amanda, Siobhan, Justin, and Liam.
He is predeceased by his adoring daughter Kim who he loved and missed dearly.
