She enjoyed a successful career, owning a company alongside her brother before retiring in 2000. Laurie was happily married for 41 years to her devoted husband, Brett Stevens. Together, they raised three children: Amanda Marie (married to Kyle Logan), Allison Anne (married to Charles Schwinn), and Zachary Brett. Her seven grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them, particularly at the beach or at the pavilion surrounded by family.
