Laura Mildred Burdick, lovingly known as Bootie, passed away on July 14, 2024, at the age of 78. She was born on December 11, 1945, in Stroudsburg, PA, and was a resident of Mount Dora, FL, at the time of her passing.

Laura was a dedicated school teacher, devoting her time and energy to shaping the minds of young children. She was known for her passion for education and her commitment to helping her students succeed.

"Live like you were dying" was one of Laura's favorite quotes, reflecting her zest for life and her belief in making each moment count. She embraced each day with a courageous spirit and a kind heart.

Her proudest accomplishments were undoubtedly her children and grandchildren. Laura cherished her son Michael Burdick and adored her grandchildren, Lauren Burdick and Christopher Burdick. She found immense joy in being a mother and grandmother, and her love for her family knew no bounds.

Laura was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Burdick. Together, they created a lifetime of precious memories and shared a deep and enduring love.

Laura Mildred Burdick will be remembered for her unwavering dedication to education, her infectious laughter, and her unwavering love for her family. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and resilience that will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing her. May her soul rest in eternal peace.

Pallbearers will be Darren Johnson, Donny Jonson , Jordan Jacob, Josh Kerns , Christopher Burdick , Michael Burdick, and Jeffrey Burdick .

The family will receive friends on Thursday , July 18 from 12-1 p.m. at Hope City Church, 520 N Baker St, Mt Dora, Fl 32757 Funeral service will be held on Friday , July 19 at 1:00 p.m. at Hope City Church with the Rev. Jeff Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Dora Country Club Cemetery 8039 Arcadian Ct, Mt Dora, Fl 32757
