Laura Connolly, born on May 9, 1946, in New Hampshire, passed away on August 5, 2024, in Albuquerque, New Mexico in the care of her loving daughter Jenny. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a cherished friend to many. Known affectionately as "Mere," Laura had a vibrant personality and a remarkable ability to see the best in everyone.
Throughout her life, Laura was passionate about a variety of interests. She adored horses, had a deep appreciation for Elvis Presley, and was considered a legend among her stoner friends. She had multiple jobs throughout her life, for an example her time as a cook at Fred and Reds, where she was famous for making the best spaghetti. Laura had a particular fondness for potatoes and anything Chinese, often delighting in meals that included those.
In her younger years, Laura was an trampolinist, showcasing her fun and carefree spirit. She found joy in simple pleasures, enjoying shows like "Little House on the Prairie" and "Anne with an E," and often sharing laughter with her favorite quote, "Hooka tooka my soda cracker."
Laura's proudest accomplishments was her family, whom she loved deeply. She is survived by her Sisters Irene and Claudette, her ex husband/best friend Jim, her children, Michelle, Trisha, Jenny, and james, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles, her siblings Junior(Roland), Roger and Paulette and her parents Irene and Roland. Laura's home was always open, and she was known for her kindness, humor, and unwavering support of those in need.
She will be remembered for her infectious laughter, her unique culinary creations, and the immense love she had for her family, making her presence unforgettable. Laura Connolly will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
