Larry spent most of his life working in concrete. He learned as a teenager from his father and passed on lots of knowledge throughout his over 40 years in the field.
Was that he was so funny he could make everyone laugh he loved making jokes 😀

Larry Dale Short, beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away on May 9, 2024, at the age of 64. He was born on October 13, 1959, in Richmond, KY, and most recently resided in Madison County, KY.
Larry had a passion for life and enjoyed various hobbies, including dirt track racing, camping, wood working, fishing, and cheering on the Kentucky Basketball team. He had a hearty appetite and relished in dishes such as pork chops and mashed potatoes, his wife Tammy's famous meatloaf, fried chicken, and had a sweet tooth that couldn't be denied.
Above all, Larry cherished his family. He adored his wife Tammy Short, his two sons, Larry and Kenny, and his stepchildren Jeremy Foster and Carrie Foster. He was incredibly proud of his grandchildren, Kasia Parks, Kristeon Denny, and Rylie Graves. Larry also held a special place in his heart for his brothers, sisters, and extended family.
Professionally, Larry spent over 40 years working in concrete, learning the craft from his father as a teenager. He also dabbled in woodworking and took on various odd jobs. His dedication and knowledge in the field were evident, and he took immense pride in his work. Larry's time as a Little League coach was particularly cherished, as he loved mentoring and impacting the lives of young men.
Larry's generous and selfless nature endeared him to all who knew him. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and go above and beyond for others. Larry had an infectious smile and a heartwarming love for children, constantly seeking to bring joy to those around him. He will forever be remembered for his unwavering commitment to making others' lives better.
In recent times, Larry found solace in his faith and re-dedicated his life to Jesus Christ. He was a born-again Christian, finding strength and purpose in his spiritual beliefs.
Larry Dale Short leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to his family and community. He will be profoundly missed by all whose lives he touched.
The family will be holding a private memorial service to celebrate Larry's life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to his wife .
We'll plant real trees for you in Larry's memory and display your contribution forever.
